The BAS company will locate production facilities in the Rudnevo Industrial Park, which is part of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Technopolis Moscow. On the area of more than 1,1 thousand square meters, the enterprise will create a centre for tuning, testing and testing of unmanned aircraft systems of all types. This was announced by Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Yefimov. The territory of Rudnevo industrial park will accommodate existing production facilities, as well as startups that will develop new technologies. There will also be a full-fledged test site for drones. BAS company became one of the first tenants of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ site. The project of the test centre for unmanned aircraft systems involves investments of more than 150 million roubles, said Vladimir Yefimov. By the end of 2023, more than 25 jobs will have been created there. Drones are successfully used in the energy sector, logistics, agriculture, construction and geological exploration, helping to assess the scale and pace of construction, make a 3D model of the landscape, and identify climatic and geographical features of the area. The company plans to become a resident of the SEZ, which will give it access to tax preferences. These are benefits for transport tax, property tax and profit tax. Rudnevo has also created all the necessary infrastructure to design, produce and test unmanned aircraft systems. The industrial park is intended to become an industry centre for competence, training, and development of human resources. In addition to the UAV cluster, Rudnevo will feature production in areas such as medical products and equipment, development and production of electrical equipment, added Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy. BAS, Russia's first drone operator, was established by the State Transport Leasing Company (STLC) together with the National Technology Initiative Foundation in 2022. Moscow has been actively using copters for more than six years, using them to monitor construction sites and detect unauthorised construction and misuse of land plots, which has significantly reduced the percentage of violations. This experience can be useful for other megacities as well. The development of the drone industry is also relevant for hard-to-reach areas where there are problems with delivery of goods. The young industry has every chance to become an impetus for the development of end-to-end technologies in the field of energy storage systems development, engine construction, aeronautical and other technologies, and Rudnevo Industrial Park plays a significant role here, said Gennady Degtev, General Director of Technopolis Moscow SEZ. According to CEO of GTLC Evgeny Dietrich, the appearance of BAS company's own base, where drones can be tested, set up and carry out demonstration flights for potential clients, will be another important step in the development of unmanned aviation. In the future, similar sites will also appear in regions of the Russian Federation, including Siberia and the Far East. ________________________________________ Press service of the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" Phone: +7 916 516-15-46 Mail: pr@technomoscow.ru [ mailto:pr@technomoscow.ru ] Subscribe to the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" in social networks, follow the main news of the SEZ in telegram-channel [ https://t.me/technopolismoscow ] and receive all the most important news delivered to your mail in our weekly newsletter [ http://events.technomoscow.ru/subscribe/?utm_source=site_technomoscow ] .
