TWO FACTORIES FOR THE PRODUCTION OF MEDICAL PRODUCTS WILL BE BUILT IN THE SEZ TECHNOPOLIS MOSCOW THIS YEAR

The buildings of two new factories will be completed at the Zelenograd site Alabushevo of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow by the end of the year - medicines and medical products will be produced here. This was announced by Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Efimov. “Two residents of the SEZ Moscow, who intend to produce products for medicine, have come to the end of construction work at their factories this year. It is planned to create more than 530 workplaces here. One of them is a future pharmaceutical complex, the other one will produce glucometers. Investors have invested more than 3.2 billion rubles in new enterprises,” said the Deputy Mayor. The pharmaceutical complex will produce about 80 types of medicines, including those from the list of vital ones. From 2023, the company plans to produce more than 12.5 million packages of medicines per year. The area of ??the complex will be about 34 thousand square meters. The second plant, covering more than 10,000 square meters, will produce medical equipment needed by people with diabetes who have to control their glucose levels. The company will produce express blood glucose meters - glucometers. Consumable test strips for its production devices are much cheaper than western counterparts. “In total, 21 residents are engaged in the production of medical equipment, products and preparations in the capital’s SEZ. They produce widely popular life-saving medicines and products for specific groups of patients - for example, ostomy or diabetic,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, Head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy. At the site of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow in Zelenograd, where two new plants will be built, 32 enterprises operate with resident status, which entitles them to tax and customs benefits. Highly qualified specialists are actively involved in these productions, Gennady Degtev, CEO of the Moscow SEZ, specified.
