Three more residents of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ took advantage of tariff preferences

Since the beginning of 2022, three resident companies of the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone have received preferences for the import of foreign products by creating free customs zones (STZ). This was announced by Vladislav Ovchinsky, the Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy. "Since the beginning of 2022, three more residents of the special economic zone of Moscow have begun to use customs preferences, including zero rates of customs duties and value-added tax on the import of products. Today, all companies that have the status of a resident of a special economic zone and a free customs zone are open can receive such benefits. For example, last year five residents saved 143 million rubles," Vladislav Ovchinsky said. Among the new enterprises to which this support measure has become available are the company for the production of equipment for cable cars "RT–Bartolet", the engineering company NPO "Composite" and the manufacturer of preparations for cosmetology "Mesoformula". "The SEZ managing company provides advisory and organizational support to enterprises planning to use the free customs zone. Residents are explained the requirements of the Federal Customs Service of Russia, help to form a package of documents and get permission to apply benefits. The standard period for its issuance from the moment of filing an application is no more than 4 months," explained Gennady Degtev, , the CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. The products imported by the resident, in accordance with the established procedure, first enter the temporary storage warehouse in the SEZ of Moscow, then undergo actual control by the scientific and innovation post of the Moscow regional Customs, and later are sent to the resident in the customs control zone created at his site.
