More than 30 high-tech enterprises will be opened on the sites of Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Technopolis Moscow by the end of 2023. This was reported by Deputy Mayor of Moscow on economic policy and property and land relations Vladimir Yefimov during the XXVI St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. "Special Economic Zone in Moscow is the driver of the development of the city economy, it changes the industrial and infrastructural aspect of Moscow. Since the beginning of this year on the basis of the special economic zone 11 production facilities have already been launched. By the end of 2023 it is planned to open another 20 high-tech enterprises. They will be able to provide the city with demanded and innovative products, will create new jobs", - said Vladimir Yefimov. The new productions will produce car multimedia devices, medical products, pharmaceuticals, software, high-tech equipment and other high-tech products. "Of the productions planned to be opened this year, eight are located at the Pechatniki site, they will be launched at the ready-made production facilities. Eight more enterprises will appear at the Rudnevo site. The same amount will be on Zelenograd site Alabushevo: there the production will be opened both on rented areas of innovative laboratory and industrial complexes and in separately standing buildings, which are built by the residents themselves," said the head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of Moscow Vladislav Ovchinsky. In Moscow one actively applies the concept of polycentric city, which implies an integrated development of territories, creation of quality social, community and transport infrastructure, as well as places of employment within the boundaries of municipalities, said the CEO of Technopolis Moscow Gennady Degtev. Special Economic Zone expands the boundaries of high-tech and science-intensive industries in the city, provides new jobs for specialists in various fields and creates a developed transport network, which has a positive impact on the quality of life of the inhabitants. Now on six sites of a special economic zone in the capital more than 200 companies have placed their production, more than 90 of them are the residents of the SEZ. This status gives them a number of tax preferences and benefits, including exemption from transport, property and land taxes for 10 years, duty free importation of necessary products, preferential rent and purchase of land for production facilities. Special Economic Zone Technopolis Moscow unites on its grounds the companies engaged in technology development and production in six areas: microelectronics and optics, medical technologies and pharmaceutical products, software and equipment, high-tech, energy-efficient and nanotechnology. This is a territory with a special legal status, which enjoys preferential treatment for investors. The area of six sites (Pechatniki, Alabushevo, Mikron, MIET, Angstrem, Rudnevo) exceeds 260 hectares. High-tech enterprises are located there. SEZ Technopolis Moscow has been the leader in international and national industry ratings for several years. St. Petersburg International Economic Forum takes place from June 14 to 17.
