Concern Goodwin  [ https://goodwin.ru/eng/ ] a resident of Moscow SEZ  has patented a device for monitoring the location of personnel at production facilities, said Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow.  “The company received a patent for a utility model - a wireless radio beacon, which will become an element of the industrial safety system. Its implementation will create the necessary working conditions to preserve the life and health of employees and ensure the reliability of work at hazardous production facilities. Such systems are part of the modern digital industry and contribute, among other things, to the growth of labor productivity. In total, more than 30 residents work in the microelectronics cluster of the Moscow SEZ, which the Goodwin Concern enters, who have received over 100 patents for inventions and utility models,” said Alexander Prokhorov. The wireless beacon uses BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) radio technology and is a miniature radio transmitter weighing up to 100 grams, which can be attached to a magnetic base or self-adhesive pad. Beacons are installed permanently throughout the enterprise. When an employee enters the coverage area of ??the beacon, his coordinates are transmitted to the monitoring system. In turn, the dispatcher can warn the employee about being in the danger zone. Various versions allow the use of radio beacons both indoors and outdoors. There is no need for frequent battery replacement. For example, an external beacon can operate continuously for up to 5 years at temperatures from -40 to +60°C. And one of its types allows the device to be used in explosive conditions at enterprises of the II hazard class. Over the past two years, SEZ resident has implemented its own Goodwin-Neva communication system at several oil and gas and mining companies, chemical industry enterprises and construction sites. Concern Goodwin received the status of a resident of the Moscow Special Economic Zone in 2019 and is implementing a project to develop and manufacture high-tech equipment for use in industrial enterprises, said Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. “The resident has invested more than 100 million rubles in its production at Pechatniki site and created more than 70 highly qualified workplaces. The company conducts extensive research and development work. About 15 of its developments are protected by copyright, including software for managing devices and communication systems. The preferences of the special economic zone allow such high-tech companies to focus on innovation and invest additional funds in development,” said Gennady Degtev. The new patented device can be used both as part of the Goodwin-Neva microcellular communication system with personnel monitoring functions, and independently in order to expand the capabilities of other communication and security systems. More information about Moscow's economic policy and property and land relations can be found on the website economy.mos.ru Reference: Special Economic Zone Technopolis Moscow includes five sites with a total area of ??223.3 hectares: one in Pechatniki and four in Zelenograd - Alabushevo, Mikron, MIET, Angstrem. Residents are provided with special support measures, for example, they are exempted from paying property, transport, land tax, customs duties. The income tax rate for them is only two percent. There are also benefits for the lease of land allocated for the construction of an enterprise, and upon its completion, it is possible to buy out a leased land plot for one percent of its cadastral value. ---------------------- Press service of the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" Phone: +7 916 516-15-46 Mail: pr@technomoscow.ru [ mailto:pr@technomoscow.ru ] Subscribe to the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" in social networks, follow the main news of the SEZ in telegram-channel [ https://t.me/technopolismoscow ]  and receive all the most important news delivered to your mail in our weekly newsletter [ http://events.technomoscow.ru/subscribe/?utm_source=site_technomoscow ] .
