The revenue of resident companies of SEZ Technopolis Moscow SEZ increased by a quarter

According to the results of the first half of 2022, the revenue of resident companies of SEZ Technopolis Moscow exceeded 17 billion rubles. This figure is almost a quarter higher than the data for the same period last year. This was announced by Vladimir Efimov, Vice-Mayor of Moscow for Economic policy and Land-property affairs. "In the first half of 2022, residents of the special economic zone of Moscow earned over 17 billion rubles, which is almost a quarter more than in the same period of 2021. Then the revenue amounted to 13.8 billion rubles. At the same time, in the second quarter of 2022, the companies recorded a total profit of 11.1 billion rubles – almost twice as much as in the first," said Vladimir Efimov. According to the deputy mayor, such growth is associated with increased demand for the products of Moscow companies, as well as the expansion of their production sites. The leading positions in terms of revenue for two quarters were taken by the medical equipment and biopharma sector. For enterprises in this industry, it amounted to almost six billion rubles. "Manufacturers of microelectronics, optics, robotics and industrial automation have earned more than five and a half billion rubles in total. The top three also included information and communication companies. Their total revenue exceeded 2.8 billion rubles," said Vladislav Ovchinsky, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. Currently, 90 companies have the status of a resident of the special economic zone of Moscow. "The preferences and benefits that this status gives, as well as convenient logistics and developed infrastructure contribute to the progressive development of production, attracting investment and increasing the revenue of enterprises.
