The new resident of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow will invest about 130 million rubles in the production of SIM cards

Eastcompeace Rus received the status of a resident of the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow and plans to invest 126.7 million rubles in the development of the production of SIM cards in the SEZ revealed Vladimir Efimov, Vice-Mayor of Moscow for Economic policy and Land-property affairs. Eastcompeace Rus supplies about 50 million SIM cards annually to the largest telecom operators in Russia, CIS, as well as in Germany and Estonia. The company works in partnership with the parent organization - the world SIM card manufacturer Eastcompeace Technology Co Ltd.   “In early 2021, the company will begin capital construction of a 1,700 square meter facility that will house a production complex, laboratory and office space. Resident status allows companies to receive benefits and to invest the saved funds in their production. The new resident will invest 126.7 million rubles in the project. More than 50 high-tech jobs will be created with the launch of production in 2022”, said the Vice-Mayor. In addition to the production of traditional SIM cards, the company will create a platform for downloading virtual SIM cards. “The company was the first in the Russian market to develop software for virtual SIM cards. They enable you to remotely record the profile of any telecom operator that provides such a service, and not to visit telecom shops to connect to the services of a mobile operator. When traveling abroad, you can also set up a subscription online”, pointed out Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. The company also plans to start issuing bank cards using a new technology for customizing the contact area - a chip. Now in the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow there are nine residents engaged in information and communication technologies, with a total number of employees of more than 480 people added Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. “Support tools for SEZ residents enable a comfortable business environment for the IT sector.
