The new resident of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow will invest 90 million rubles in the development of energy-efficient solutions
ENSOL, a producer of lithium-ion batteries, has received the status of a resident of the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow. Until 2025, the company's total investment in the development of the production of energy-efficient products will be about RUB 90 million as informed by Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. Since 2017, at SEZ Technopolis Moscow site in Pechatniki, the company has been developing electronics and producing lithium-ion batteries for use in vehicles with an electric type of engine - forklifts, reach trucks, stackers, electric pallets, cleaning and other industrial equipment. The service life of such batteries is two to three times longer than that of traditional lead-acid batteries, with more than three thousand charge / discharge cycles. “Currently, the company's production occupies about 500 square meters in Pechatniki. By 2022, it is planned to expand the production area by another 756 square meters, enabling the resident to transfer production into a serial one and by 2024 to double production - from two to four thousand batteries per year. The total volume of the company's investments in the development of its own production until 2025 will amount to about 90 million rubles”, said the head of the Department. Resident status provides businesses with the opportunity to save on taxes and other obligatory payments every year. Among the preferences are a zero rate of property tax, reduced income tax and duty-free imports. According to Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow ENSOL makes up for approximately 30% of the Russian market of traction lithium-ion batteries. “The company currently employs about 60 people, the expansion of the site and the preferences of the SEZ resident status will increase the number of jobs to 86 and by 2024 increase the share of its presence in the Russian market by about seven percent. The development of foreign trade is another priority of the company. For three years, the metropolitan manufacturer has supplied lithium-ion batteries to 13 countries of the world, most of all to the USA - over 600 batteries”, said Gennady Degtev. ---------------------- Press service of the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" Phone: +7 916 516-15-46 Mail: pr@technomoscow.ru [ mailto:pr@technomoscow.ru ] Subscribe to the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" in social networks, follow the main news of the SEZ in telegram-channel [ https://t.me/technopolismoscow ] and receive all the most important news delivered to your mail in our weekly newsletter [ http://events.technomoscow.ru/subscribe/?utm_source=site_technomoscow ] .
