A resident of the special economic zone, the [ https://en.mikron.ru/ ] Mikron [ https://en.mikron.ru/ ] Group [ https://en.mikron.ru/ ] has launched mass production of components for power management in industrial electronics. The new products have a high export potential, the company has already received the first orders from foreign enterprises. This was announced by Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. Trench MOSFET transistors, which were launched in the SEZ, are used in power electronics: in car electronics, generators, secondary power supplies, motor controllers, lighting engineering, industrial electronics, telecommunications equipment, and energy. «Since 2015, the Mikron Group is one of the key residents of the SEZ within the microelectronics cluster. The company produces up to four billion chips, RFID tags, microcontrollers and other products annually. Some of the products are exported. The new serial production meets all the demands of the world market and allows to significantly increase the export of microelectronics in the capital,”said Alexander Prokhorov. The Head of the Department noted that various preferences contribute to the development of production facilities of SEZ residents. So, for example, the Mikron Group, along with other residents, has a preferential income tax rate, which is 2 percent. The full production cycle of transistors has been implemented at Mikron's own production facilities. “Mikron's capacities, located in the Moscow SEZ with a developed infrastructure and logistics, will make it possible to produce more than 50 million transistors per year. For the first time, the company has mastered serial production using this technology. It should be noted that transistors will be in demand not only in foreign markets - they will allow providing import substitution in the field of power electronics in Russia,”said Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. The transistors mastered by Micron in mass production using Trench MOSFET technology with a cell pitch of 1 micron on silicon wafers with a diameter of 200 mm are one of the most widespread electronic components on the world market. To date, Mikron has mastered the serial production of a dual N-channel transistor with a low channel resistance in the open state and a breakdown voltage of 20V. The development of other standard ratings for this technology is underway, as well as the optimization of the technical process for the soonest launch of new demanded products on the market at affordable prices. “The Trench MOSFET technology can significantly reduce the on-resistance of the transistor with higher dynamic characteristics, which opens up very wide possibilities for use in any device and power electronics device. In particular, for controlling motors, building highly efficient power switches, step-down stabilizers with synchronous rectification and other power circuits. We received the first orders from partners from South-East Asia. At present, the portfolio of orders is almost completely formed from export contracts,”explained Irina Korotova, Director of production development at the Mikron Group. Earlier in 2021, Mikron released an experimental batch of a domestic microcontroller on an open architecture, which will make it possible to reduce dependence on a foreign component base and licenses in the production of devices and devices. ---------------------- Press service of the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" Phone: +7 916 516-15-46 Mail: pr@technomoscow.ru [ mailto:pr@technomoscow.ru ] Subscribe to the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" in social networks, follow the main news of the SEZ in telegram-channel [ https://t.me/technopolismoscow ] and receive all the most important news delivered to your mail in our weekly newsletter [ http://events.technomoscow.ru/subscribe/?utm_source=site_technomoscow ] .
