Resident of the special economic zone (SEZ) Technopolis Moscow one of the leading Russian developers and manufacturers of devices for fiber optic communication in the first quarter of 2023 sold products worth almost 300 million rubles, which is seven times higher than in the same period of 2022. This was reported by Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy, which is part of the Complex of Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations of Moscow. "The capital's special economic zone has become a basic platform for the location of the photonics and microelectronics cluster, where advanced technologies and products in the field of optoelectronic and laser systems, optical materials and devices are developed. Today, this association includes 52 leading manufacturers, 20 of which have deployed their production facilities on the territory of the capital's SEZ. Among them is the company "Neoros", which in the first quarter of this year sold products worth 288 million rubles, which is seven times more than in the same period of 2022", - said Vladislav Ovchinsky. The company is the only domestic manufacturer of planar optical splitters, which provide broadband Internet access, voice transmission and digital TV operation. The company installs its own software on all its devices. The most demanded products of Technopolis Moscow SEZ resident became Russia's first digital optical transceivers with a speed of 100 gigabits per second and higher, which together with fiber optic cables are used to transmit arrays of data over long distances. These devices are of strategic importance for the digital transformation of the Russian economy - they are key products that ensure the operability of the entire system and allow data to be exchanged within it. The development has the conclusion of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade under Resolution No. 719 "On Confirmation of Production of Industrial Products on the Territory of the Russian Federation", which gives the manufacturer a competitive advantage in the Russian market and access to government procurement. "The company was granted the status of a resident of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ in 2020. During its activity it has invested over 620 million rubles in its development and sold products for almost 2.5 billion rubles. The main customers of the company are Russian telecom operators, banks, data centers, and government agencies. In the first quarter of 2023, the resident expanded the production area by 1.293 thousand square meters to increase the production of import-substituting products and coherent transceivers", - emphasized Gennady Degtev, General Director of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. By the end of 2023, the company plans another stage of production expansion. "As part of the company's development strategy, it is planned to introduce new transceiver production technologies, which will significantly reduce their production cost. The innovative project will create at least 15 jobs," Magomed Alikhanov, CEO of the company, specified. The flagship of the capital's industry is the special economic zone (SEZ) Technopolis Moscow. This is a territory with a special legal status, which has a favorable business regime for investors. More than 200 high-tech enterprises are localized here, of which about 90 have the status of a resident, which allows them to receive significant benefits.
