The manufacturer of rope transport systems received the status of a resident of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow
A subsidiary of the Swiss manufacturer Bartholet Maschinenbau AG and the Rostec Group of Companies, RT-Bartolet, which plans to start manufacturing equipment for ropeways in Moscow in September 2021, received the status of a resident of the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow as informed by Vladimir Efimov, Vice-Mayor of Moscow for Economic policy and Land-property affairs. “The RT-Bartolet company is currently working on the construction of its own production facility at the site of the special economic zone of Moscow in Pechatniki. The complex for the manufacture of rope-transport systems will occupy more than four thousand square meters, the total investment will amount to 1.5 billion rubles. The received status of a resident of the capital's SEZ opens up a set of benefits and preferences for new production that will help in the implementation of the project”, pointed out Vladimir Efimov. The project for the production of cable car systems in the SEZ of the capital is being implemented under the concession agreement between the Moscow Government and the Swiss company Bartholet Maschinenbau AG, signed in 2019. “The newest technologies and equipment will be introduced at the plant. In the production of rope-transport systems, the company plans to use materials and components from Russian suppliers, which will positively affect the development of related industries in the sector. The rope-transport systems created at the new enterprise are designed for the Russian market and will also be exported. Along with the production line, the company will organize work on training personnel in the management, repair and maintenance of rope-transport systems”, underlined Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. Among the benefits of the Moscow special economic zone of the capital are the zero rate of property tax, transport, reduced income tax. “In addition, goods and equipment imported into the territory of SEZ Technopolis Moscow are exempt from customs duties. More than 80 companies operating in the status of a resident have already taken advantage of the incentives of the SEZ”, stated Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. Bartolet-RT plans to produce components for the construction of a cable car in Moscow over the Khimki reservoir between the Skhodnenskaya and Rechnoy Vokzal metro stations. The company owns technology specifically designed for the urban environment. Its feature is the possibility of autonomous movement of the cab, driven by an electric motor.
