Vetbiohim company, a plant for the full-cycle production of veterinary drugs is anticipated on the territory of SEZ Technopolis Moscow by the end of 2021. Total investments in the project will amount to about 1.6 billion rubles as informed by Vladimir Efimov, Vice-Mayor of Moscow for Economic policy and Land-property affairs. “A full-cycle enterprise will appear at the site in Pechatniki for the production of a wide range of test kits, vaccines and serums for diagnostics and specific prevention of infectious diseases of agricultural animals and pets. The company has already completed the installation of the equipment and started commissioning. The total investment in the production will amount to about 1.6 billion rubles. The new plant will create about 250 jobs”, revealed the Vice-Mayor. Vetbiohim will be located on an area of more than 6 thousand square meters, added Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. “Most of the production space is allocated for the so-called "clean rooms", which will ensure compliance with all technological process requirements. Clean rooms account for about 4,000 m? of the total 6,000 m? area of the plant”, pointed out Alexander Prokhorov. Vetbiohim ranks first among domestic private enterprises in the range of produced immunobiological drugs for veterinary purposes said Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. “After the launch of the company's plant in Pechatniki, the pool of high-tech enterprises of SEZ Technopolis Moscow will be replenished with new production in the field of veterinary medicine, implementing its own innovative developments. Last year the company developed, registered and launched into production five new vaccines for immunizing animals”, pointed out Gennady Degtev. As of today Vetbiohim has already registered and produces 37 vaccines for agricultural animals and pets, four sera and immunoglobulins. In addition, the enterprise has launched the production of 60 types of test systems for diagnosing animals’ diseases five of which allow detecting one of the most dangerous diseases in veterinary medicine - African swine fever. Vetbiohim enterprise was founded in 2005 and makes products for domestic animals, including vaccines, diagnostic systems, antiparasitic, antibacterial and disinfectants. The drugs produced by the company are registered and sold abroad: in Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine.
