The first free customs zone (FCZ) was opened on the site "Rudnevo" of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow by the company VIP Camilla - a manufacturer of absorbent underwear for medical purposes. This was announced by Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Efimov. "In June this year, the company became the first resident of the Rudnevo Industrial Park - the sixth site of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow. The status gives manufacturers significant benefits, including the opportunity to open a free customs zone on its territory. Thanks to this, goods, products and raw materials can be imported into the SEZ territory without paying duties and taxes. In addition, an offset contract was signed with the company, under the terms of which Moscow will purchase absorbent underwear for medical purposes from it for 10 years. The company plans to reach full capacity in the third quarter of 2023 and start deliveries already this year. In addition, 74 jobs will be created," said Vladimir Efimov. The company has received the status of a subject of a free customs zone, which also applies to the entire site Rudnevo, added Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of Moscow. "Companies that intend to obtain this status will now find it easier to go through such procedures. Thanks to the STZ customs procedure, the resident was able to reduce the cost of purchasing the equipment necessary for the implementation of the offset contract by 20 percent," Vladislav Ovchinsky noted. The company has placed its production facilities on the area of 5.5 thousand square meters. "Thanks to the company's obtaining the status of a free customs zone, other residents of the Rudnevo site will also be able to adopt this customs procedure. The timeframe in which the company was able to obtain the Free Customs Zone status was the result of effective intra-departmental cooperation. Thanks to this, the city will receive the first batch of diapers and diapers for adult stoma patients in early fall," said Gennady Dyogtev, General Director of Technopolis Moscow SEZ. SEZ Technopolis Moscow is a territory with a special legal status, which offers a favorable business regime for investors. More than 200 high-tech enterprises are localized here, of which about 90 have resident status, which allows them to receive significant benefits. The area of six sites (Pechatniki, Alabushevo, Mikron, MIET, Angstrem, Rudnevo), where high-tech enterprises of SEZ are located, exceeds 260 hectares.
