The construction of the first building of the Electronics Innovation Center has been completed at the Zelenograd site of MIET of the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone. It will house the production of electronic modules and radio-electronic equipment. This was announced by Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Efimov. “The new building will house a modern high-tech full-cycle production facility for serial production of electronic modules and radio-electronic equipment. Enterprises will be able to localize their production facilities in it at the beginning of 2023. The construction of the five-story building of the Innovation Center for Electronics with an area of more than five thousand square meters was carried out by one of the first residents of the capital's SEZ - the Zelenograd Innovation and Technology Center. For the entire period of work in the SEZ since 2006, the company has invested more than 1.4 billion rubles in the development of its production,” said Vladimir Efimov. In the first building of the Innovation Center, workshops for experimental and pilot production will be equipped, which will provide residents of ZITC JSC and developers of NRU MIET with an experimental production base. On the created areas, they will be able to work out and implement new technological solutions more quickly. “The concept of the Innovation Center provides for the construction of two buildings, which will primarily accommodate residents of the MIET site of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow. The construction of a new building with its own production facilities will allow JSC Zelenograd Innovation and Technology Center and the Proton plant to introduce automation and robotization systems for the production of serial products,” explained Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Moscow Investment and Industrial Policy Department. He added that on the basis of the new areas, technologies for the production of printed circuit boards of the 5th accuracy class, automatic surface mounting of components, and automated local soldering of output elements will be mastered. Serial production of microwave electronics with carrier frequencies over 40 GHz will also be launched here. The new production infrastructure of the MIET site of the SEZ of Moscow will make it possible to produce high-tech products in the field of information and control, communication, location and biomedical systems, as well as provide services for the production of printed circuit boards, metalworking, assembly and configuration of electronic components and blocks. “The entire territory of the SEZ, where 33 microelectronics companies operate, will receive a powerful impetus for development. In the nine months of 2022, the amount of their investments in production amounted to 14.7 billion rubles, which is twice as much as in the same period in 2021, when their investments reached almost 7.5 billion rubles. Also during this time they have created another 859 new jobs,” said Gennady Degtev, CEO of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow. The foundation stone of the Innovation Center was laid in February 2021. During the year, the builders erected the first building, now the laying of engineering communications and interior decoration are underway. At the same time, the concept of landscaping is being developed. The project also provides for the construction of an 11-story administrative building with a total area of 20.6 thousand square meters, where engineering work will be carried out and graduates of the MIET University will be trained. There will also be a technology transfer center and laboratories for project activities.
