After visiting the new pharmaceutical plant, Sergey Sobyanin examined another enterprise of the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow. “Sometimes we throw away an iron, a refrigerator, a computer, and do not think about what happens next. Usually this is thrown out together with household waste and goes to ordinary landfills, but we must bare in mind that there are harmful substances in electronic equipment, in addition, it can be used in the future production. This attitude towards waste from household and electronic devices is simply not acceptable. One of the best factories in the world has been opened in Moscow, which comprehensively processes household equipment, including its disassembly, plastic production, extraction and processing of metal, including precious metals. And this, of course, is a completely different word, a different level, because 90 percent of what you throw away can be recycled and equipment and components necessary for people will be manufactured”, pointed out the Mayor of Moscow. According to him, this project is important for the city from the environmental point of view. "All this now does not end up in a landfill, but is almost completely recycled", mentioned Sergey Sobyanin. LLC PK Ecoplast is a part of JSC Corporation Ecopolis and recycles mixed plastics from electronic waste. The company received the status of a resident of the special economic zone on February 7, 2019. Investments in the creation of high-tech production amounted to $16.4 m. The plant with an area of 5.6 thousand square meters employs 46 people. All technological areas of plastic processing are fully automated - operators only control the equipment and check the parameters of production processes. The facilities of the enterprise allow to process up to 14 thousand tons of body plastic per year. The plant is engaged in the processing of plastic cases and parts of computers and computer equipment - laptops, monitors, keyboards, network devices, servers, printers, hard drives, as well as household appliances - washing machines, refrigerators, TVs, vacuum cleaners, microwave ovens, telephones, MP3-devices , DVD players, game consoles, video and digital cameras, plotters, electric stoves and instruments, scientific, sound, medical and other equipment. 70 percent of raw materials are supplied to the enterprise from the EcoTechProm plant, owned by Ecopolis Corporation, the remaining 30 percent are purchased from other market participants. Sergey Gordeev, founder of Ecopolis Corporation JSC, said that the company sells production waste, which is about 30 percent, as fuel for cement plants. Also, the company is currently developing a technology that, possibly, will make it possible to produce diesel fuel from waste. “Everything you see is made from those granules that we produce. This is polypropylene, a flexible plastic. This is ABS. This plastic is hard, durable, the most expensive electronic plastic, things are made of it in electronics, for example, TV stands, which are produced at the Voronezh plant "Kvant", he specified. Ecoplast uses the world's best technologies for the separation of ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene), PS (polystyrene) and PP (polypropylene) plastics. This is the only enterprise in Russia where the technology for separating the mix of body plastics with the separation of highly filled plastics has been introduced on an industrial scale. The technological equipment of the plant consists of a line for the separation of ferrous and non-ferrous metals; lines for separating plastics by type; extrusion granulation system equipped with laser-perforated disc filters for fine melt purification; equipment for water treatment; gas filtration equipment. During the production process, the plastic separated from the electronic scrap is subjected to mechanical processing, separation, sorting and cleaning, in the production of granules - laser filtration and double degassing. Modern technologies at Ekoplast prevents the negative impact on the environment. The waste water at the plant is purified and fed back into the production cycle, rather than being discharged into the sewer. Also, the company has installed special equipment for gas filtration. The secondary ABS, PS, PP granules produced at Ecoplast can be used as a 100% replacement for primary raw materials or as an admixture to primary raw materials.
