Technopolis Moscow SEZ resident will produce ultrasound scanners

The Scientific and Production Association (NPO) Scanner received the status of a resident of the Moscow Special Economic Zone. The company will launch its own production at the Pechatniki site by the beginning of 2023. This was announced by Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Efimov. «The new resident will set up production of modern ultrasonic diagnostic equipment in one of the areas of the capital's special economic zone by the beginning of next year. As early as the second quarter, the enterprise intends to reach its planned design capacity. Annually it will be able to produce up to two thousand scanners. At the moment the company's investments in the production amount to almost 55 million rubles, and the implementation of the project will create more than 30 jobs», – said Vladimir Efimov. NPO Scanner produces ultrasound scanners under the brand name RuScan. The line of equipment is represented by models from average to expert class. They are used for high-precision diagnostics in various areas - from obstetrics and pediatrics to oncology and traumatology. The advanced visualization capabilities provide high quality scans across the entire depth. «Ultrasonic scanners of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ resident are fully russified and equipped with domestic software. The portion of Russian raw materials and components used in their production exceeds 60 percent. This creates conditions for effectively meeting the demand of medical institutions for high quality equipment», – clarified the Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of Moscow Vladislav Ovchinsky. Today the company is one of the leaders in the volume of production and supplies of ultrasound scanners in Russia. In particular, at the end of the first half of 2022, the supplies of RuScan devices under government contracts doubled compared to the same period last year. «NPO Scanner will become another representative of the innovative cluster of medical equipment and biopharma manufacturers.
