Research and Production Association "Composite", a tenant of SEZ Technopolis Moscow has launched the production of a composite parts line for premium cars as informed by Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. “The new items are carbon fiber exterior and interior components for Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes and will add more than two thousand composite parts to the company's portfolio. The advanced technologies at the manufacturer’s site provide for the production on a par with large automotive concerns. About 40 percent of newly produced parts for the premium car industry will be exported”, underlined Alexander Prokhorov. The resident's competencies allow to develop solutions using composite materials, provide services for the design and production of small and large series of products, pointed out Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. “The investment project, which NPO Composite has been implementing as a resident of SEZ Technopolis Moscow since 2020, covers a period of 10 years and provides for investments in the site of more than 80 million rubles. The industries of manufactured products application are the automotive industry, shipbuilding, robotics, aerospace - those areas where a lighter weight of structures and special strength of parts are required”, Gennady Degtev reminded. New products are addressed to the official dealers of world carmakers, specified Mikhail Filimonov, CEO of NPO Composite. “As a result of the project, new cars are equipped with a Russian product, leading to the localization of production and import substitution. Consumers do not need to order these components from overseas factories. At the site in Pechatniki, they are produced using the same technology, with the same quality level”, stressed Mikhail Filimonov. NPO Composite belongs to the cluster of modern materials and nanotechnologies and interacts with other participants of the Moscow SEZ - Umatex and the Nanotechnological Center of Composites (NCC), strengthening cooperation within the single technological community of SEZ Technopolis Moscow.
