Technopolis Moscow SEZ enterprise delivered lithium-ion batteries to Turkey

A batch of lithium-ion batteries resistant to extreme temperatures has been supplied to Turkish customers by ENSOL located in SEZ Technopolis Moscow. The products of the capital manufacturer will be used at industrial enterprises of the country, informed Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. ENSOL products are currently used in 13 countries around the world, and the total volume of exports in the last year alone increased nine times in monetary terms, to three million US dollars. “This is not the first time the company has been supplying its equipment to Turkey, earlier 50 lithium-ion batteries were exported there, and this year 12 more batteries have been supplied for electric trucks used in industrial facilities and refrigerated warehouses. Some of the equipment has been specially manufactured for operation at extremely low temperatures”, said the Head of the Department. He also noted that the demand for lithium-ion batteries produced by capital enterprises is actively growing abroad. In eight months of 2020, they were delivered to 27 countries of the world, and the total export volume amounted to 5.81 million US dollars, which is 83% more than in the same period last year. The design principle of the enterprise presumes an air heating system inside the housing, where the lithium-ion energy storage devices are located, as well as the control and power electronics. This solution allows you to take full advantage of lithium-ion technology without sacrificing efficiency, even at low temperatures. According to Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow the company-exporter has worked since 2017. “Energy efficient technologies are being actively developed in the special economic zone of Moscow. About 10 SEZ manufacturers offer their solutions that meet modern requirements for saving resources and ecology. ENSOL holds over 30 percent of the Russian lithium-ion battery market. Over the past year alone, more than one and a half thousand storage batteries were produced and put into operation.
