Shock sensors have been created in the Moscow SEZ to help secure transport

A resident of SEZ Technopolis Moscow LMP Company has developed multifunctional micromechanical shock sensors that will increase the safety and reliability of transport as informed by Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. LMP Company is engaged in the full production cycle of inertial micromechanical sensors and systems as part of the microelectronics cluster of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. It has been operating at the MIET site of the Moscow Special Economic Zone since 2016. During this time, the enterprise has produced products for more than 265 million rubles. The development of new shock sensors was the next step in the development of the industry. The volume of investments in the project exceeded 17 million rubles, and the staff expanded to 30 people”, shared Gennady Degtev. The shock sensor is a device that provides contact closure in the event of shock or vibration, which makes it possible to record the overload of the vehicle. The new devices are easy to use and compact. They are completely made from domestic materials and have a wide range of trigger levels. Shock sensors from LMP Company can be used to monitor leased vehicles, the quality of cargo transportation, postal and courier items - especially fragile and valuable items. In addition, they are applicable for monitoring the wear of public transport and in IoT technologies that automate the operation of various devices. “The development of sensors took about 3 years, various design options were worked out. The first customer lead to final dimensions of the sensors. They allow to create a device for monitoring shock effects on the object under investigation, record and store information in the device's memory. The range of overload levels: 0.5g – 200g, the duration of the information recording cycle - from several hours to months. The set can be supplied with a control device for managing the internal memory”, announced Nikolay Zaryankin, Head Technician of LMP Company. For more than 7 years, LMP Company has been developing, manufacturing, implementing and selling scientific and technical products in the field of inertial micromechanics: gyroscopes, accelerometers, inertial modules, limit accelerometers and shock sensors. The company's portfolio includes more than fifteen patents.
