SEZ Technopolis Moscow will start producing biologics for skin and soft tissue healing

The resident of SEZ Technopolis Moscow, Acrus Biomed, has completed a full cycle of development of biomedical cell products (BMCP) for the treatment of long-term non-healing wounds, ulcers and extensive burns and is preparing to launch production. The company's products correspond to foreign analogues. This was announced by Vladimir Efimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations. The drugs, which have no direct analogues in Russia, were created in cooperation with the N. K. Koltsov Institute of Developmental Biology of the Russian Academy of Sciences. They are developed on the basis of grown human skin cells and a special carrier for the treatment of long-term non-healing wounds, ulcers and extensive burns, combined lesions. BMCP allows you to restore the skin in a short time and without scarring. "In the fourth quarter of this year, the resident of the special economic zone of the capital plans to start producing biomedical cellular products for humans and animals, which he will direct to scientific research and testing. The company has invested over 320 million rubles in the implementation of its project at the Printers site," Vladimir Efimov said. Treatment using domestic BMCP will be cheaper than existing methods and more accessible both for patients and for the healthcare system as a whole. "Since 2024, after the completion of clinical trials and obtaining registration certificates, the company intends to produce about six thousand units of goods per month. The company plans to supply products to medical institutions of the capital by pre–order for two days," Vladislav Ovchinsky said. About 60 highly qualified specialists will be able to work in the production. In the near future, a resident of the SEZ of Moscow intends to expand the production of BMCP and register a wide list of new drugs of this type, including for the elimination of scars and the treatment of oncological diseases, rehabilitation after brain infarctions, severe diseases and COVID-19. "A great help in the development of the company was the convenient location of production at the Printers site in the south-east of Moscow. This makes it possible to fully use the logistics capabilities, infrastructure, engineering and human resources of the special economic zone of the capital, the central transport highways of the city. Separately, it is worth noting the close location of the enterprise to potential customers – specialized medical institutions of the capital," said Igor Abashin, General Director of Acrus Biomed. The company received the status of a resident of the special economic zone of the capital in 2019 and may receive additional support. Thus, the company is exempt from paying land, property and transport taxes, the income tax rate for it has been reduced to two percent. In addition, customs duties are not levied on imported goods. "The new production facility and its products meet all the established requirements. In general, over this year, residents of the SEZ engaged in biopharmaceuticals and the creation of medical technologies and equipment have provided more than a thousand new jobs," said Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. ________________________________________ Press service of the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" Phone: +7 916 516-15-46 Mail: pr@technomoscow.ru [ mailto:pr@technomoscow.ru ] Subscribe to the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" in social networks, follow the main news of the SEZ in telegram-channel [ https://t.me/technopolismoscow ]  and receive all the most important news delivered to your mail in our weekly newsletter [ http://events.technomoscow.ru/subscribe/?utm_source=site_technomoscow ] .
