The enterprise for the production of innovative cosmetic products is preparing to launch at the site of the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone (SEZ) this fall, said Vladimir Efimov, Vice-Mayor of Moscow for Economic policy and Land-property affairs. "By the end of 2022, a resident of the capital's special economic zone will start producing medical injectable drugs for mesotherapy, and in 2023 will launch a professional cosmetic line of products for skin care. The amount of investment in the project will amount to more than 170 million rubles. The new high–tech automated production will meet modern standards and fulfill the task of saturating the market with domestic products in those segments where dependence on imports is high," said Vice-Mayor. The territory of the plant of the company Mesoformula, which is located on the site of the SEZ of Moscow in Pechatniki, is more than 1.5 thousand square meters. "Construction work has been completed today, preparations are underway to install clean rooms and key equipment. In preparation for moving to its own territory, the company produces products on contract sites. With the opening of a new plant in the SEZ, a full cycle of drug production will appear in Pechatniki in compliance with all standards. About 50 highly qualified jobs will be created here," said Vladislav Ovchinsky, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. SEZ Technopolis Moscow sites are among the most effective for the implementation of import substitution projects. Residents receive a number of tax benefits and preferences. "Residents of the capital's SEZ are provided with a set of support measures, including a zero tax rate on transport, property and land. In addition, residents pay income tax at a rate of 2 percent, customs preferences apply. A moratorium on the indexation of rental rates has been introduced this year. For the development of technological business, the SEZ sites have all the necessary infrastructure and well–established cooperation of residents," said Gennady Degtev, General Director of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. In the current economic conditions, the Mesoformula company had to work on optimizing production resources in order to keep the volume of products and their cost at an acceptable level: modernize raw materials compositions, reorient purchases of ingredients and packaging.
