SEZ Technopolis Moscow supplied 900 thousand packages of medicines by offset contract

The company, which localized on the territory of special economic zone (SEZ) Technopolis Moscow production complex, delivered to the city more than 900 thousand packages of drugs under offset contract. "Offset contract with biotech company Biocad Moscow signed in 2017. It is aimed at supplying drugs for the treatment of cancer and autoimmune diseases. In September 2020, the investor commissioned the first stage of the plant, and two years later the second stage. Since 2021, medical institutions of the city began to receive drugs under the contract. By today more than 900 thousand units of drugs have been shipped", - said Vladislav Ovchinsky, the Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of Moscow.  The offset contract mechanism was introduced in 2016. The capital was the first region to sign such contracts with manufacturers and is now the leader in applying this form of public-private partnership. "At the production complex PK-137 at the site Alabushevo produces 40 titles of medicines, 29 of them - for deliveries under the offset contract. Pharmaceutical complex has the resident status of the capital special economic zone and has the right for tax preferences that allow to direct additional funds for own development", - General Director of Special Economic Zone Technopolis Moscow Gennady Dyogtev noted. Offset contracts in the medical sphere allow to provide the city with the necessary consumables and medicines, the production and supply of which used to take place in deals with foreign partners. Since 2017, the city has signed 12 offset contracts for drugs, medical supplies, food for dairy kitchens, and document storage systems.
