The resident of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow, which analyzes big data for the main enterprises of the oil and gas sector of Russia and is one of the largest data centers in the country, will more than double its area to almost four thousand square meters. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Efimov. “The IMT company from the Moscow SEZ will build a new data center building. Its area will exceed two thousand square meters, another 250 square meters will occupy storage space. Investment in the construction of a new building and the purchase of equipment will amount to more than 2.6 billion rubles. Construction is expected to be completed by mid-2025,” said Vladimir Efimov. Currently, 91 enterprises are residents of the Moscow SEZ. The company "IMT" was one of the first among them in December 2007. “The IMT enterprise is located on the site of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow in Alabushev. It provides customers with a virtual infrastructure - computing power and storage resources, processors, memory, disk space, as well as software and hardware systems for processing geological and geophysical data and information on the operation of equipment at oil and gas enterprises. At the moment, the area of ??the enterprise is 1.9 thousand square meters. Additional space will create conditions for the development of new cloud services and promising technologies, the expansion of this business, which is important in the context of import substitution,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, Head of the Moscow Investment and Industrial Policy Department The creation of high-tech telecommunications equipment, communication, monitoring and control systems, as well as proprietary software is one of the core areas of activity for the enterprises of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow. “In total, 14 resident companies from the IT sector work in the Moscow SEZ. They provide their services for storing, processing and analyzing big data to customers involved in the development of digitalization in the city, video analytics, machine learning, digital advertising, studying the audience and its preferences. The investments of such enterprises in the creation and development of data centers by the beginning of 2022 exceeded nine billion rubles.
