High-tech materials developed and produced by the resident of SEZ Technopolis Moscow were used to strengthen the ceilings of high-rise buildings of a residential complex in the center of the capital. This was announced by Vladislav Ovchinsky, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. The resident of SEZ Technopolis Moscow - Nanotechnology Center of Composites (NCC) is one of Russia's largest manufacturers of systems for the restoration and repair of reinforced concrete structures based on carbon fibers. The company has developed its own CarbonWrap external reinforcement system, which is actively used in Moscow and the regions of the Russian Federation. "The company has been working in the construction market for more than ten years and offers its developments in various projects. So, in Moscow, the materials of the SEZ resident were used during the reinforcement of the Capital Towers skyscrapers on Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment. The floor slabs were reinforced in the residential complex, including in the openings for engineering communications. Such tasks involve strict requirements for safety and quality of work, which the company's external reinforcement system meets today," stressed Vladislav Ovchinsky. The CarbonWrap external reinforcement system makes it possible to increase the load-bearing capacity and reliability of structures, including buildings under construction. In addition, when using this system, in comparison with traditional metal reinforcement, it is possible to save the budget and reduce the time for strengthening plates by using high-strength laminates based on carbon fiber. Also, bulky machinery or special equipment is not required to strengthen structures, work can be carried out without stopping the operation of buildings and structures. According to Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow, the products of the NCC company are in demand all over the country - from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk to Kaliningrad, and not only. "The consumption of Moscow composites is also growing in the CIS countries. For example, Belarus has been successfully repairing large bridges and overpasses with these materials for a long time. During his residency in the capital's SEZ, the company's revenue amounted to more than 3 billion rubles, more than 200 specialists work at the enterprise today," explained Gennady Degtev.
