The Technopolis Moscow took first place in the VI National rating of investment attractiveness of the SEZ of Russia. Experts highly appreciated the conditions created at the Moscow site for entrepreneurs. This was announced by Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Efimov. The national rating of investment attractiveness of the SEZs of Russia has been formed by the Association of Clusters and Technoparks of Russia (AKIT) since 2017 with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. The rating was prepared based on the results of the work of 28 special economic zones for 2021. “The Moscow Special Economic Zone has once again become the leader of the National Rating of Investment Attractiveness of the Russian SEZ among technology-innovative zones. The experts highly appreciated the conditions created in the SEZ Technopolis Moscow for entrepreneurial activity, the developed infrastructure of its five sites, and the availability of free land resources. An important criterion was the investment activity of residents, who in 2021 invested over 28.5 billion rubles in high-tech projects, which is more than three times higher than in 2020,” said Vladimir Efimov. The largest volume of investments last year was provided by pharmaceutical and microelectronic enterprises. “More than half of the investments of residents of the special economic zone in 2021 came from manufacturers of medicines, medical devices and equipment. In 2021, 14 innovative companies received the status of a SEZ resident. Their declared investment exceeded 15.3 billion rubles. More than 1,400 jobs should be created at enterprises,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Moscow Investment and Industrial Policy Department. New residents are manufacturers of computer equipment, optical elements for laser technology, cable transport systems, medical devices and pharmaceuticals, software developers, energy-efficient solutions, a metalworking enterprise, as well as organizations that process and store data. Five enterprises place their capacities at the Zelenograd site Alabushevo, the rest have chosen localization in Pechatniki. “Today, the SEZ Technopolis Moscow is the number one platform in terms of investment attractiveness, and it continues to increase its performance, build new production chains, and actively work to implement the principles of sustainable development,” says Andrey Shpilenko, Director of the Association of Clusters, Technoparks and SEZs of Russia. Recall that last year the SEZ of the technology-innovative type Technopolis Moscow also took first place in the V National rating of investment attractiveness of the SEZ of Russia. “In 2021, the SEZ Moscow continued to develop the site infrastructure and implemented projects to improve service.
