SEZ Technopolis Moscow has released a line of energy gels

The manufacturer of sports nutrition from the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone, in cooperation with experts, has released a line of energy gels from domestic raw materials that can replace foreign analogues. This was announced by the Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy, which is part of the Complex of Economic policy and Land-property affairs of the capital, Vladislav Ovchinsky. "The Academy-T company, whose production is located in the SEZ Technopolis Moscow, with the participation of sports nutrition experts, proposed a solution for import substitution in this area – new energy gels. They are made mainly from Russian raw materials and cost about 30 percent cheaper than foreign analogues from Europe and the USA, which are in the greatest demand in this market" - said Vladislav Ovchinsky. The gels were developed in the laboratory of Academy-T company by the team of highly qualified scientists and technologists. They are available in sticks of 60 milliliters with various fruit flavors. "Products are manufactured in the SEZ Technopolis Moscow at the site in Pechatniki, where the company has occupied almost 1.3 thousand square meters since 2016. Modern infrastructure and comfortable logistics of the special economic zone helped the company to create sports nutrition that is not inferior in quality and taste to the goods of the largest western manufacturers. According to the company's estimates, they will be able to produce up to 500 thousand gels per year" - said Gennady Degtev, the CEO of the SEZ of Moscow. The development was carried out in close cooperation with the experts of the distributor of international sports nutrition brands GEL4U. The purchase of equipment of the production line for new gels was carried out by Academy-T with funds allocated by the Fund for the Promotion of Small Forms of Enterprises in the Scientific and Technical Sphere. Energy gels are one of the most popular products among fans of cyclic sports (running, triathlon, cycling).
