The special economic zone (SEZ) of the capital Technopolis Moscow has retained its leadership in the VI Rating of Investment Attractiveness of Russian industrial parks and Special Economic Zones. It was compiled by the Analytical Center Expert. This was announced by Vladimir Efimov, Vice-Mayor of Moscow for Economic policy and Land-property affairs. "According to the results of 2021, the special economic zone of Moscow again topped the rating, becoming the best among 120 sites for the localization of enterprises in Russia. Experts highly appreciated the investment potential of the capital's SEZ, where the volume of technology business investments is growing every year. So, according to the results of last year, Technopolis residents more than tripled the volume of investments compared to 2020, spending almost 28.5 billion rubles on the construction and development of production facilities," Vladimir Efimov said. Opportunities of the SEZ of Moscow allow attracting new investors from various industries. "In 2021, manufacturers of medical devices, pharmaceuticals, software developers, computer equipment, specialists in the field of data processing and storage joined the technological community. Last year, they have already invested more than 9.1 billion rubles in the creation and development of their enterprises"- said Vladislav Ovchinsky, the Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy. When compiling the rating, experts assessed the attractiveness of the sites, taking into account their investment potential and customer-oriented management. In addition, specialists analyzed various services, the cost of the minimum necessary set of resources for the implementation of production activities and the information policy of the management company. The capital's SEZ is constantly developing infrastructure and services, providing investors with more and more opportunities for comfortable business, said Gennady Degtev, the CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. "A significant event in 2021 was the opening of three innovative laboratory and industrial buildings at the Zelenograd site Alabushevo with a total area of about 30 thousand square meters. Technology companies have the opportunity not only to build factories there from scratch, but also to rent ready–made modern spaces, which reduces the launch time of projects and requires less investment"- said the CEO of the SEZ. The Head of the special economic zone also noted that the range of services provided in the SEZ of the capital is being actively expanded and transferred to a modern format. Already, a single ecosystem has been created there, which includes consulting, innovative infrastructure, transport and logistics, economic support and digitalization of many processes. In 2021, for the convenience of residents, more than 150 services were switched to a «one window» mode, and electronic document management was also introduced. A key project was also the selection of production personnel and the organization of internships. In 2021, over 100 vacancies of residents were published on the website of the SEZ of Moscow and almost 400 resumes of applicants were processed with the subsequent employment of successful candidates. In addition, last year more than 240 students completed internships in various specialties in 20 companies of SEZ.
