The resident of SEZ Technopolis Moscow - the company "Medplant" - launched the production of a new device to help doctors in intensive care as informed by Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. The indicator of the effectiveness of cardiopulmonary activity "Temp", developed by the company's specialists, is a device equipped with a metronome and a compression sensor. The device is used for chest compressions. The metronome sets the rhythm, and the built-in sensor determines the depth of compression of the victim's chest, whether it is sufficient or it needs to be increased or decreased. The company plans to patent this development. “An innovative development of the special economic zone resident can be used when providing first aid, when performing resuscitation measures at the scene of an accident, during evacuation or in hospitals. The device can also be used in simulation training centers. The new solution has expanded the line of emergency medicine from a Moscow manufacturer. Last year, as a result of the increased demand for medical devices due to the pandemic, the company doubled its production of pulse oximeters, exceeding the volume of 5,000 pieces. Syringe dispensers grew by 300 percent with a volume of over 2,000”, pointed out Alexander Prokhorov. Medplant, founded in 2000, localized its production on the territory of SEZ Technopolis Moscow in 2014, and four years later received the status of a resident with the advantages in the form of tax and customs benefits proving for a more effective implementation of project and meeting the health care needs in first aid and emergency medical care. Since 2018, the company has invested more than 47 million rubles in production and manufactured products for almost 2 billion rubles. On the territory of the Moscow special economic zone, a whole cluster of manufacturers of medical products and equipment has been formed, which includes more than 20 companies. “The cluster participants are such companies as Elta, TZMOI, Orthomoda, Inkoro, Chirana +, Liberec Rus, Lazmedtek. In 2021, it will launch the Gematech facility, which will produce import-substituting medical products for ostomy patients. By 2023, a Penta-group plant will appear in Alabushevo to produce consumables for ventilators, blood transfusion systems and solutions, as well as containers for blood collection", said Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. ---------------------- Press service of the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" Phone: +7 916 516-15-46 Mail: pr@technomoscow.ru [ mailto:pr@technomoscow.ru ] Subscribe to the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" in social networks, follow the main news of the SEZ in telegram-channel [ https://t.me/technopolismoscow ] and receive all the most important news delivered to your mail in our weekly newsletter [ http://events.technomoscow.ru/subscribe/?utm_source=site_technomoscow ] .
