The company which localized production of laser systems and equipment in Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone (SEZ) has developed four new laser machines. It was reported by the Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy Vladislav Ovchinsky. The company specializes in development and manufacture of lasers, laser systems and equipment based on them. These products are used in aviation and automotive industry, microelectronics, aerospace industry and many others. "Today the mechanical engineering industry in the city is represented by more than 200 enterprises employing over 20 thousand people. The companies produce a wide range of products, from industrial robots to freight elevators. At the same time they are constantly expanding their range of products. For example, the Moscow enterprise Lassard, whose production site is located on the territory of the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow, has developed four new laser machines. Now the company's product line includes 25 types of products. We plan to produce more than 400 pieces of equipment per year," said Vladislav Ovchinsky. Among the new products are a gantry cleaning unit that allows to remove rust and dirt from large sheet materials, a five-axis laser cutting machine for working with ceramics, a laser machine with a pipe processing system, and a laser engraver with a belt conveyor, which automatically feeds over a thousand products per hour. "Thanks to a wide product line and developments that are unparalleled in the world, the company today satisfies 100 percent of the domestic market's demand for laser equipment. Production localization in Technopolis Moscow SEZ will allow the company to receive additional support and various preferences," said Gennady Dyogtev, CEO of Technopolis Moscow SEZ. According to Oleg Nefedov, CEO of the company, Lassard was able to expand its range largely due to the scaling of its production facilities - since April this year, the company has been developing and assembling machines on the territory of the special economic zone of the capital. Since 2017, the city has signed 12 offset contracts for pharmaceuticals, medical devices, food for dairy kitchens, and document storage systems.
