Within the framework of XXVI St. Petersburg International Economic Forum Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Technopolis Moscow and Skolkovo Foundation signed an agreement on cooperation and mutual support in the sphere of innovative community development, hi-tech production and entrepreneurship. This was announced by General Director of Technopolis Moscow Gennady Dyogtev. "Development of scientific and technological base of the capital is one of the priority directions of economic strengthening and formation of autonomous industrial and scientific conglomerate. The agreement between SEZ Technopolis Moscow and Skolkovo Foundation will promote the residents' capacity expansion and the development of technological business. The manufacturers will be able to develop joint solutions, to use the resources of both sites for scientific research, to participate in grant and acceleration programs, to work on complex projects of sustainable development. This will allow to optimize the processes of development, commercialization and scaling of production, accelerate the production of original and import-substituting products", - said Gennady Dyogtev. The access of Technopolis Moscow SEZ residents to the Fund's programs will allow to improve the industrial and business processes of the companies, will contribute to the development of the technology transfer platform. Now the number of residents of the capital's special economic zone exceeds 90 high-tech productions. They produce products in the field of microelectronics, photonics, robotics, innovative materials and construction technology, software and IT systems, medical technology and pharma. "Combining the intellectual and production capacities of the Foundation and the Moscow special economic zone will help technological products reach consumers faster. Skolkovo services - the selection of highly qualified personnel, technology transfer, intellectual property protection, centers of collective use and others - provide an opportunity to form effective teams, create prototypes and accelerate growth processes. SEZ Technopolis Moscow, in particular, can help with the organization of infrastructure for industrial scaling of startups", - said Kirill Kayem, Senior Vice President of Innovation of Skolkovo Foundation. Today more than 200 enterprises are located on the territory of the SEZ, about 90 of them have the resident status. They produce goods, which are important for the city and its residents. In particular, companies with resident status in Technopolis Moscow SEZ produce high-tech products: medicines, software products, chips and other goods and services. The companies increase their production volumes every year. Last year, some foreign companies left the Russian market, which has expanded opportunities for domestic producers to market their goods. Overall, in 2022 the output of SEZ residents increased by 61.1 percent: they produced high-tech products worth 46.5 billion rubles. Now the SEZ includes six sites with a total area of 260 hectares. More than 200 high-tech companies have set up their production facilities there. Depending on the needs and capabilities of the enterprises they can rent ready-made premises or take land on favorable terms for the construction of production. For its part, a special economic zone Technopolis Moscow offers residents of the Fund the possibility of placing production facilities on the basis of one of the six sites. This is not only suitable areas for different technical requirements, but also a developed infrastructure, central communications and the ability to set up production of demanded products within the city.
