Today, over 12 thousand jobs have been created in the SEZ. In the coming years, the number of employees will grow by several thousand more people. Since its creation, five sites have been opened in Technopolis, radio equipment, medical equipment are produced here, new materials, energy-efficient solutions and software are being developed. Residents receive significant benefits. They are exempt from paying property, transport and land taxes for 10 years. The income tax rate for them is only two percent," Sergei Sobyanin said. "Over the past years, residents of the special economic zone of Moscow have invested more than 87 billion rubles in the development of their enterprises. In just nine months of 2022, they created over 1.4 thousand new jobs and invested 23.8 billion rubles in production — this is 2.1 billion rubles higher than the result for the same period in 2021," said Vladimir Efimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations. In 2021, SEZ Technopolis Moscow became the leader among the special economic zones of Russia in terms of the volume of investments attracted during the year, having received the maximum efficiency rating from the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia. The number of companies located in the SEZ continues to grow. "The undisputed driver among the industries localized at the sites of the special economic zone of Moscow today is the industry of microelectronics, robotics and industrial automation. It includes 33 enterprises with the status of a resident. According to the results of the first nine months of 2022, they outstripped companies from other areas in terms of investments and invested 14.7 billion rubles in their development. This is almost twice as much as in the same period of 2021," said Vladislav Ovchinsky, Head of the capital's Department of Investment and Industrial Policy. In December 2022, SEZ Technopolis Moscow once again became the leader of the National Rating of investment Attractiveness of the SEZ of Russia among the zones of technical and innovation type.
