Residents of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ invested more than 9 billion rubles in the creation of data centers

Six companies of the Moscow SEZ have invested more than 9 billion rubles in the creation and development of data processing centers (DPC). These innovative enterprises serve tens of thousands of clients throughout Russia and create jobs for IT professionals as informed by Vladimir Efimov, Vice-Mayor of Moscow for Economic policy and Land-property affairs. “Investors specialize in the creation of data processing centers and occupy an area of more than 26 thousand square meters on the territory of the special economic zone of Moscow. These centers serve tens of thousands of clients simultaneously, including private companies, large Russian enterprises and public sector institutions. The total investment in the support and development of these projects has already exceeded RUB 9 billion. Moscow data centers located in the SEZ provide jobs for more than 300 specialists”, declared the Vice-Mayor. The data centers of the companies GreenBushDC and IMT LLC, residents of SEZ Technopolis Moscow in Alabushevo, are among the largest in Russia. Three more companies are localized at the site in Pechatniki. These are Business System Telehouse (OXYGEN), Megafon PJSC, Combell and Relcom Data (hosting provider REG.ru). In September 2021, a new resident was added to this list - the S-Platforms company, its data center will be operational by 2022. Investments in the project will amount to over 120 million rubles. “Data centers effectively support the operation of enterprises in various industries. Their safety level is 99.982%, which corresponds to the high level of reliability and safety of Tier III functioning according to the Uptime Institute classification”, pointed out Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. In 2021, the global DPC market is more than $ 228 billion based on data from Gartner. In Russia, there is an increase in investment interest on the part of developers, technoparks, industrial production in the construction of data centers.
