RESIDENTS OF THE MOSCOW SEZ CREATED OVER 400 NEW WORKPLACES IN THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2022

Resident companies of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow created more than 400 workplaces in the first quarter of 2022, the total number of employees of these enterprises exceeded 8.5 thousand. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Efimov. “In 2022, the number of employees of companies-residents of the capital's SEZ exceeded 8.5 thousand people. During the first quarter of this year, more than 400 additional workplaces appeared at such enterprises. This is almost 2.5 times more than in the same period in 2021, when 152 new workplaces were created in the Moscow SEZ,” said Vladimir Efimov. More than half of the employees of the capital's SEZ companies are employed in microelectronics production enterprises. “More than 12,000 people work on the territory of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow. At the same time, almost half - more than five thousand employees - are employed at enterprises producing microelectronics. About 3,200 more - in companies developing medical technologies and pharmaceuticals, IT-industry and cluster of high-tech productions. Next in employment are companies that create innovative materials for construction and other industries and energy-efficient technologies,” explained Vladislav Ovchinsky, Head of the Moscow Investment and Industrial Policy Department. In addition, in the first quarter of 2022, the microelectronics and robotics cluster became the leader in creating new workplaces, added Gennady Degtev, CEO of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow. He noted that in the first three months of this year, the number of employees of 32 microelectronics and robotics cluster enterprises increased by almost 200 people. The enterprises of the cluster of medical technologies and biopharmaceuticals also maintain high growth rates of vacancies - 138 new workplaces in the reporting period. The dynamics is associated with the appearance of three new residents of this industry in the Moscow SEZ. In the spring of 2022, six companies reported 80 new vacancies.
