Residents of SEZ Technopolis Moscow saved almost 400 million rubles on taxes in 2022

In the first half of this year, resident of SEZ Technopolis Moscow saved 393 million rubles due to tax benefits. This was announced by Vladimir Efimov, Vice-Mayor of Moscow for Economic policy and Land-property affairs. "On the territory of the capital's special economic zone, comfortable conditions have been created for residents' activities – they are exempt from paying land, property and transport taxes for ten years, and the income tax rate for them has been reduced to two percent. Also, goods and equipment imported by companies are exempt from customs taxes and fees. Thanks to such benefits, residents of the special economic zone of Moscow saved 393 million rubles in the first six months of 2022. Compared to the same period in 2021, the indicator increased by more than a third. Then the savings amounted to 281 million rubles," said Vladimir Efimov. Since the creation of the special economic zone, the total amount of tax benefits received by residents has exceeded 4.3 billion rubles. At the same time, most of this amount – about 3.8 billion rubles – fell on taxes paid to the budget of Moscow. "IT companies saved the most money on taxes in the first half of the year - 133 million rubles. A little less – about 125 million rubles – fell on the biopharma sector. The microelectronics segment closes the top three – over 60 million rubles," said Vladislav Ovchinsky, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. The economic benefits and preferences received encourage companies to redirect funds to increase their production capacities. "For six months, the volume of investments of residents of the special economic zone amounted to almost 17 billion rubles.
