Residents of SEZ Technopolis Moscow in 2020 increased output by 23 percent

In 2020, residents of the special economic zone of the capital produced goods for a total amount of 19 billion rubles, which is 23% more than a year earlier as informed Vladimir Efimov, Vice-Mayor of Moscow for Economic policy and Land-property affairs. “Most products were produced in the field of electronics, optics and robotics, for a total amount of 12.68 billion rubles in 2020. The industrial enterprises of these sectors account for 67% of the volume of all products created in SEZ Technopolis Moscow. During the entire existence of the special economic zone, the volume of manufactured products has reached almost 81 billion rubles”, said the Vice-Mayor. Enterprises of the cluster of medical technologies, equipment and biopharmaceuticals took the second place in terms of the volume of manufactured products. “They account for 13% of the total output. This result was achieved largely due to the rapid response to the challenges of the pandemic. The companies of the medical cluster in a short time established the production of the necessary medical equipment, and also redesigned their production”, stated Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. The provided benefits help residents to increase production. “Substantial tax incentives and other preferences are provided for resident enterprises. The SEZ has created comfortable conditions for business development, as evidenced by the increase in companies' revenue.
