This was announced by Vladimir Efimov, Vice-Mayor of Moscow for Economic policy and Land-property affairs. "Residents of the capital's SEZ receive many incentives. For example, such companies are free from paying property, transport and land taxes, customs duties. In addition, the profit tax rate for SEZ enterprises is only two percent. Owing to such support measures, companies saved 890 million rubles on taxes in 2021. This is 28 percent more than in 2020, when the total amount of tax incentives was 692 million rubles. In total, during the existence of the SEZ of Moscow, residents have saved more than 3.9 billion rubles on taxes"- said Vladimir Efimov. According to him, most of it – 830 million rubles – came from tax incentives to the capital's budget. At the same time, the preferences operating in the SEZ encourage enterprises to invest in the development of production. "In general, in 2021, 32 rubles of investments accounted for every ruble of tax benefits provided to residents of the special economic zone," said Vladislav Ovchinsky, the Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow.
