Resident of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow more than doubled the volume of exports of microelectronics
Epiel [ https://epi-wafer.com/ ] , a resident of SEZ Technopolis Moscow, increased the volume of foreign supplies by 2.3 times in the first three quarters of 2021. This was announced by Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. “The volume of exports of Epiel products in the first nine months of 2021 amounted to almost 62 million rubles. This is 130 percent higher than in the same period last year, when the company exported products worth 27 million rubles, and 17 percent more than in pre-pandemic 2019, when goods worth 53 million rubles were sold. Among the main countries where the SEZ Technopolis Moscow, enterprise exports its products are China, France, the USA, Canada,” said Alexander Prokhorov. Epiel is a resident of the microelectronics cluster of SEZ Technopolis Moscow and the only domestic enterprise that specializes in the production of silicon and sapphire epitaxial structures. They act as the basic material for microcircuits used in civil, military and space electronics. “Also, Epiel showed a positive trend in production - in the first three quarters of 2021, the volumes exceeded 483 million rubles. This is almost a third more than in the same period last year,” said Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. According to the company's preliminary estimates, in 2021 the export volume exceeded 100 million rubles.
