Resident of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow localizes its production in Switzerland

The company Profotech, a tenant of special economic zone Technopolis Moscow allocates in Switzerland the production of optical transformers in order to export its goods to the markets of Europe and North America, informed Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department of investment and industrial policy of the City of Moscow. A five-year agreement between the capital city enterprise and the company Condis SA will be signed next year with an option to renew. A service center to support the customers will also be opened in Switzerland. “Last year the volume of the capital city industry reached $27.8 billion exceeding the previous year almost by 32%. The share of Moscow in total Russian export is more than 43% with 20% accounting for the non-energy export. Apparently the pandemic has affected the international projects but hasn’t shut them down. For example the company Profotech and the Swiss producer of the equipment for energy Condis SA have decided to extend their cooperation. The agreement stipulates the location of the transformers assembly on the territory of Switzerland. The released goods under the joint brand name Condis-Profotech will be supplied to the markets of Europe and North America”, said Alexander Prokhorov. The company Profotech has been a resident of SEZ Technopolis Moscow for two years. According to Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow during this time the enterprise has considerably broadened the geography of its distribution. “On the territory of SEZ Technopolis Moscow the company Profotech creates magnetic-sensitive optical fiber, develops, produces and performs operation services for electronic transformers of current and voltage. The company has worked with Condis SA for more than three years having exported domestic goods to the markets of Italy, France, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Finland. During one year within the joint project with Condis SA the tenant has been supplying innovative optical transformers to Canada” added Gennady Degtev. Profotech participates in the national project “Digital substation” together with other domestic manufacturers.
