Resident of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow equipped with medical equipment 2.5 thousand ambulances

The resident of SEZ Technopolis Moscow - the company Medplant - has equipped more than 2.5 thousand ambulances across the country in 2020, it is 67% more than the year before. This was announced by Vladimir Efimov, Vice-Mayor of Moscow for Economic policy and Land-property affairs. The equipment of the cars includes pulse oximeters, syringe dispensers, a vacuum mattress, fixators for various body parts, thermocontainers and the legendary orange suitcase - stowage of emergency medical supplies. "Moscow enterprises are actively increasing the manufacturing of medical products and equipment. Last year alone the volume of shipped goods of own production amounted to 16.9 billion rubles, this is 28% more than a year earlier. For example, in 2020 a resident of the capital's SEZ within the framework of the state contract fitted up 2.5 thousand ambulances, which operate across the country, with the necessary equipment," - said the Vice-Mayor. The company localized its production in SEZ Technopolis Moscow in 2014; four years later it received the status of a resident.  The company supplies goods throughout Russia and also exports to the CIS countries and South Korea. "Last year resident status enabled the company to save about 70 million rubles. Among other things, this money was used by the company for further production development. Thus, the company has opened up a new thread - the production of simulators for quality control of cardiopulmonary resuscitation," said Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. According to Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow, last year the resident was able to increase the volume of supplies not only for public, but also for private customers. As a result, the company's revenue reached more than 1.1 billion rubles, which is almost 70% more than the year before. More than 90% of the company's revenue came from equipment supplies for the emergency medical service, while the remaining 10% came from products for military medicine, hospital, primary care, and all types of first aid. In order to carry out the undertaken commitments, from April to August 2020, the company's specialists worked double shifts. The situation was complicated by disrupted chains of interaction with suppliers, a shortage of components, and the remote work of the office part of the team. Though, they were able to fulfill orders on time. As Garegin Mamdjian, Head of Medplant mentioned, the residential status of the special economic zone in Moscow was a serious support in this difficult period. Reduced profit tax and a package of tax benefits allowed to optimize costs and to free up more resources for new developments. ---------------------- Press service of the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" Phone: +7 916 516-15-46 Mail: pr@technomoscow.ru [ mailto:pr@technomoscow.ru ] Subscribe to the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" in social networks, follow the main news of the SEZ in telegram-channel [ https://t.me/technopolismoscow ]  and receive all the most important news delivered to your mail in our weekly newsletter [ http://events.technomoscow.ru/subscribe/?utm_source=site_technomoscow ] .
