Resident of the capital's special economic zone upgrades the line of industrial microcircuits for use in the Arctic
Mikron, a resident of SEZ Technopolis Moscow, is modernizing the production of industrial microcircuits for efficient operation in the most extreme conditions as informed by Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. “Mikron Group of Companies is a leading resident of the microelectronics cluster in the capital's special economic zone and one of the largest manufacturers in Russia. It accounted for almost 30% of the output in this cluster in the first six months of 2021. The company plans to upgrade the line of power control chips used in industrial automation equipment, medical equipment, as well as equipment for use in extreme conditions: from arctic latitudes and deep-sea operations to space”, revealed Alexander Prokhorov. According to Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow the project will take three years. “The upgrade will improve the technical and economic characteristics of these microcircuits, expand the range of their application. It will also serve to modernize devices in various areas of the digital economy”, pointed out the CEO of the SEZ. Mikron has received a subsidy from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation in the amount of 150 million rubles for this high-tech production project. “We will work out the production technology of a new line of microcircuits with a great expansion potential due to its versatility and economic parameters”, declared Karina Abagyan, Mikron Strategy Director. Development work on this project will be carried out jointly with the Scientific and Production Complex “Technological Center”, which carries out comprehensive R&D in the field of micro- and nanoelectronics, micro- and nanosystem technology and devices based on them. The Technological Center is constantly expanding the range of activities, mastering new technologies, the development of radio electronic equipment and devices based on nanotechnology, said Vyacheslav Svetukhin, CEO of "Technological Center". He says this project together with Mikron will allow to offer the market modern integrated circuits of wide application, which will improve the quality of domestic industrial equipment. ---------------------- Press service of the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" Phone: +7 916 516-15-46 Mail: pr@technomoscow.ru [ mailto:pr@technomoscow.ru ] Subscribe to the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" in social networks, follow the main news of the SEZ in telegram-channel [ https://t.me/technopolismoscow ] and receive all the most important news delivered to your mail in our weekly newsletter [ http://events.technomoscow.ru/subscribe/?utm_source=site_technomoscow ] .
