Resident of SEZ Technopolis Moscow is ready to replace foreign inspection equipment at Russian airports
The company Diagnostics M releases equipment for checking baggage and passengers at airports and is ready to increase production capacity in order to replace used foreign counterparts. This was announced by the Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow Vladislav Ovchinsky. «The company Diagnostics M» in 2021 released more than 740 units of different types of equipment, including over 150 intrascopes and 320 explosives detectors for ensuring the security of the country’s airports. Current production capacity of a SEZ resident of Moscow allow to double the volume of domestic production and replace worn-out foreign-made equipment in Russian air harbors» - noted Vladislav Ovchinsky. Nowadays, Russian airports mainly use foreign-made inspection equipment. Due to current economic situation there are fears that if it breaks down or the period of its service expires, there will be a shortage of components and it will lead to the breakdown of airports’ operations. According to Gennady Degtev, the CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow, resident of a capital SEZ can monthly produce about 40 intrascopes and 50 explosive vapor detectors and supply them as part of import substitution. «Products of a company Diagnostics M on 95 percent and in some positions on 100 percent consists of domestic materials. That is why there are no interruptions and difficulties in deliveries. Currently, in Russian airports are used more than 600 units of equipment produced by this enterprise. Abroad, intrascopes work at airports of Great Britain, South Korea and Kazakhstan and explosives detectors protect the safety of air harbors around the world» - noted CEOof SEZ. As stated the CEO of a company Diagnostics-M Vladimir Usachev, Diagnostics-M is ready to supply Russian airports with the entire list of modern inspection equipment for security control, certified according to Russian laws: intrascopes, explosives detectors, metal detectors and radiation monitoring systems. «Today we are also ready to maintain in working condition foreign equipment, including replacement of X-ray shutters, conveyor belts and even X-ray machines themselves with components and parts of their own production.
