Remote ordering of orthopedic shoes was launched by a resident of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow

A resident company of the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow has introduced a possibility to place online orders for individual custom-tailored orthopedic footwear online from any part of Russia. The company Orthomoda has been a resident company of SEZ Technopolis Moscow for almost a year and during this time has proved to be a sustainable enterprise, pointed out Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. “The tenant was rapid to respond to the situation in the country and switched to online work. The high-tech approach to the manufacturing of complex models of orthopedic footwear has allowed the company to adjust to new conditions of business development. Online orders today are crucial for disabled people in self-isolation regime. The introduction of this development can increase the production volume in future”, said Gennady Degtev. The individual foot measures can be sent through a special internet platform or in a telephone call with an operator. Orders can also be placed in all social networks and with a chat-bot on the website. After that every order is assigned with an orthoptist who transfers the data to a digital platform to create a 3D-model of the foot, and a fashion designer creates a custom-tailored pattern of the future pair of shoes.  All means of secure delivery are also implemented, underlined Galina Volkova, CEO of Orthomoda. “Orthomoda has shown a socially responsible approach to the situation. Regardless of the self-isolation regime people with foot deformity need to order shoes which often become the only way for them to walk. Obviously we comply with all sanitary rules for the safety of our customers and employees. Last month on the territory of SEZ Technopolis Moscow we started the production of multi-use safety means. If a client requires the help of our on-site team, then we will equip it with all necessary own-produced means”, added Galina Volkova. Later on Orthomoda is going to develop the digital platform for online orders.
