Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone (SEZ) resident has launched the production of ultrasonic diagnostic devices of the latest generation. This was announced by Deputy Mayor of Moscow on Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Yefimov. "The production of ultrasonic apparatuses of scientific-production association Scanner has been placed on the site Pechatniki in 2022. The total area of the facility exceeds 600 square meters. About 40 working places were created here. After reaching design capacity the company will be able to produce up to two thousand scanners per year, covering the basic needs of the Russian market for this equipment. Investments in the implementation of the project amount to 70 million rubles," explained Vladimir Yefimov. The Research and Production Association (NPO) manufactures ultrasound diagnostic devices, including those of an expert class, under the RuScan brand. This equipment is universal and can be used for high-precision diagnostics in obstetrics, cardiology, oncology, traumatology, pediatrics and other areas. All models are equipped with Russian software and are included in the Register of Russian Industrial Products and the Unified Register of Russian Radioelectronic Products. "On the territory of the capital SEZ resident plans to produce a line of five models of scanners, including a portable ultrasound machine for research in operating rooms, intensive care units, in ambulances, mobile hospitals, rural outpatient clinics and in hard-to-reach areas. Over the last two years the company has sold more than fifteen hundred units under government contracts worth over nine billion rubles. The company's products are supplied to medical institutions in 79 regions of the country, from small regional hospitals to large federal medical centers, including specialized ones," said Vladislav Ovchinsky, Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of Moscow. As General Director of Special Economic Zone Technopolis Moscow Gennady Degtev noted, today NPO occupies 36.6 percent share of the Russian market of ultrasound scanners by the end of the first quarter of 2023. "The company supplied ultrasound machines to medical institutions located in Moscow. Now the competition in the metropolitan market is foreign analogues, but we plan that after the launch of production in SEZ Technopolis Moscow the volume of supplies of domestic devices to medical institutions will increase. The capacity of our new production allows to meet the basic needs in ultrasound diagnostic equipment in Russia", - summarized the CEO of the company Artem Lomakov. Status of a resident of the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow exempts the company for 10 years from property, transport and land taxes. The rate of profit tax is only two percent.
