One more data center will be built in the SEZ Technopolis Moscow

A resident of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow has started building another data center specializing in working with big data. This was announced by Vladimir Efimov, Vice-Mayor of Moscow for Economic policy and Land-property affairs. "Today, five data centers are successfully operating in Technopolis Moscow. The SEZ resident - IT enterprise has received a permit for the construction of the sixth facility and has already begun its construction on the territory of the Pechatniki site. Construction and installation works and commissioning of engineering systems are planned to be completed in 2022. The total investment in the project will amount to more than 120 million rubles"- said the Vice-Mayor. S-Platforms company plans to launch a specialized big data processing center in the special economic zone of Moscow. The area of the new data center will be about 850 square meters, the capacity will be approximately 2.5 megawatts with the placement of 132 racks. It is planned to create 27 jobs here. "The services and capacities of the new data center will be provided both to residents of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow within the framework of industrial cooperation, and to other state and commercial customers"- said Vladislav Ovchinsky, the Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. Big data analysis is needed to better understand the audience and its preferences, identify patterns, and make predictions on its future behavior and reactions. This helps to optimize the activities of commercial organizations and increase the comfort of citizens thanks to Smart City technologies. "The resident of the information and communication cluster of the capital SEZ provides big data storage, processing and analysis services to customers from any areas where computing power is required to work with big data. Among these areas are urban digitalization, video analytics, machine learning, digital advertising, studying the audience and its preferences"- said Gennady Degtev, the CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. By the beginning of 2022, companies in the capital's SEZ have invested more than nine billion rubles in the creation and development of data centers.
