New residents of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ will invest about 10 billion rubles in the capital's industry

In the first half of 2021 seven high-tech enterprises received the resident status of the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow. The companies are planning to invest almost 10 billion rubles in the development of their production facilities until 2030, said Vladimir Efimov, Vice-Mayor of Moscow for Economic policy and Land property affairs. "Since the beginning of the year, seven high-tech companies have received resident status in the capital's special economic zone. The companies plan to implement projects in such areas as production of electric trucks and components for electric transport, rope transport systems, injectable cosmetology products, software products for contact centers and videoconferencing systems. The volume of announced investments is 9.9 billion rubles, residents also plan to create more than 900 jobs", - said the Vice Mayor. According to Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow, a significant share of the planned investments - about 8,7 billion rubles - accounts for two residents of the cluster of medical technology, equipment and biopharma. "Two more residents, who plan to invest a total of 713 million rubles, joined the cluster of high-tech industries. The rest have joined the ICN cluster," he added. The preferences enjoyed by residents open up access to duty-free imports, a zero rate on property and transport, and a preferential rate on profits. This makes the capital's special economic zone attractive for industrial investors. "Since the creation of the capital SEZ, the residents have saved more than 3 billion rubles on tax payments.
