New residents of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ will allocate 1.5 billion rubles for the construction of two pharmaceutical plants

The pharmaceutical companies Meleta and OncoTarget located in Pechatniki, are going to invest in the production launch of nearly 200 types of neurological drugs and drugs for the treatment of cancer, as informed by Vladimir Efimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for economic policy and property and land relations. “Moscow special economic zone is one of the centers of pharmaceutical production in Moscow. According to the results of the first half of the year, SEZ residents have invested 1.3 billion rubles in the development of the production of medicines and materials - this is almost half of all citywide investments in pharmaceuticals. In September, Technopolis got two more new residents, who plan to invest over 1.5 billion rubles in the development of their pharmaceutical industries in the next 10 years, as well as create 400 jobs,” pointed out the Vice-Mayor. The Oncotarget company has already started construction, the production commissioning is scheduled for the middle of next year, said Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department of investment and industrial policy of Moscow. “The new resident of the capital's special economic zone - Oncotarget plans to produce 73 forms of drug release and supply them to state medical institutions in Russia. The drugs will help fight various types of cancer. The company will annually produce up to 100 thousand packs of pills and up to 200 thousand liquids,” cleared out the Head of the Department. The company Meleta will launch the production of drugs used for neurological disorders in SEZ Technopolis Moscow in mid-2022, shared Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. “The resident will manufacture 124 types of drugs for the treatment of disorders, neuroses, phobias and other neurological diseases. The enterprise plans to produce up to 7 million packs of pills and almost 1 million liquids per year. It is planned that more than half of the total volume will be sold through pharmacy chains, the rest of the products will be sent to city medical centers,” he specified.
