Moscow to launch production of contacts for microelectronics

Test-Contact, the resident of the special economic zone (SEZ) Technopolis Moscow will set up the production of contacting devices by the end of 2021. These high-tech components are used in microcircuit testing machines, as informed by Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. New contacting devices for microelectronics were developed in 2019 and went through all tests. Unlike foreign analogues, Moscow products can operate in a wide temperature range - from minus 60 to plus 170 degrees Celsius. This became possible thanks to the use of modern high-temperature polymers. “Currently, domestic companies producing microcircuits for civil and defense purposes mainly use foreign contacting devices and carrier satellites. The volume of imports here is estimated at more than 200 million rubles. Test-Contact has developed and launched a series of contacting devices with improved characteristics relative to imported analogs. The annual production volume is planned in the amount of 30 thousand units, allowing the enterprise to become the main supplier of these products in the Russian market”, said Alexander Prokhorov. Contacting devices will be fully assembled on the territory of the special economic zone of the capital, announced Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. Gennady Degtev added that the resident companies of the SEZ microelectronics cluster Mikron, DC" Soyuz, ELVIS and Angstrem have already become the first customers. Test-Contact develops and manufactures contacting devices for all types of electrical and radio products on its own equipment.
