Moscow signed an agreement with one of the leaders of the Russian IT market to develop domestic UAVs

Moscow government and one of the largest Russian IT-holdings will implement a number of activities aimed at the development of the Federal Center for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) on the basis of Rudnevo Industrial Park. The agreement on cooperation on the fields of the XXVI St. Petersburg International Forum was signed by the head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy, which is part of the complex of economic policy and property and land relations of the capital, Vladislav Ovchinsky and CEO of the company Igor Kalganov. "The cooperation of the city and T1 company will allow to consolidate the experience, knowledge, developments and direct them to the development of the Federal Center of Unmanned Aerial Systems. It is planned that the company will start production of UAVs here, the test launch of which is scheduled for the end of 2023. In the first quarter of 2024, the holding intends to reach industrial capacity. For that purpose, the Center for Development, Prototyping and Additive Technologies will be created in Rudnevo; there will also be a full-cycle design bureau and production area, an automated warehouse, a training and piloting center. The creation of the center will give more than 100 new jobs in the city," - said Vladislav Ovchinsky. According to the document, the parties will jointly develop the unmanned aviation industry, involving the company's competence, provide consultative support in the introduction of new models of unmanned aircraft systems, as well as conduct flight tests of UAS on the basis of Moscow airfields and the flight test center in the industrial park Rudnevo. "T1 Holding has extensive and diverse expertise in digital solutions. We are ready to convert our team's expertise into the development of unmanned aerial systems, which are in high demand today by agricultural producers, industrial and logistics companies, and in many other areas. In Rudnevo we intend to develop and produce the whole range of products - from an ultralight copter to a heavy drone Combining the efforts of business and government will create a new industry and competitive products in Russia," said Igor Kalganov, the CEO of the holding. The production of drones in the capital city has grown more than fourfold in the last five years. Today Moscow is considered one of the biggest markets for drones. They are used in the municipal economy, housing and construction, as well as for detecting unauthorized construction sites, unauthorized use of land plots and controlling construction projects. Rudnevo is a new industrial park for placing production facilities that are critical for the city and the country. About 800 thousand square meters will be built here by 2025. The creation of the park is an example of modern effective industrial policy.
