A resident of SEZ Technopolis Moscow, Profotech, will supply a set of electro-optical measuring transformers to Latin America. The equipment is intended for the implementation of a pilot project for a digital substation in Brazil as informed by Alexander Prokhorov, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial policy of Moscow. A cooperation agreement between the resident of the capital SEZ and a Brazilian state power grid company Eletrosul, a member of the Eletrobras group of companies, was signed in the fall of 2020. The total cost of the digital substation project is about one million US dollars, 170 thousand US dollars of which is the cost of a set of equipment for a Russian enterprise. “Brazilian energy companies are actively studying the experience of introducing digital technologies to help transfer the country's electricity supply to a new technological level. As part of a pilot project, tests of a digital substation will be carried out in the country, where optical electronic current and voltage transformers, developed by the resident of the capital's SEZ, will become one of the key equipment. The company has undertaken to manufacture, supply and commission equipment, as well as train partners to work with it”, said the Head of the Department. Under the terms of the agreement, Profotech's technical specialists will help their Brazilian colleagues to formulate requirements for innovative products and integrated solutions based on them, as well as to determine the methods of their testing. “The company has experience of successful implementation of projects in Switzerland, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Finland and Canada. Thanks to his unique developments and competent marketing policy, our resident is a worthy ambassador of the domestic industry and the project "Made in the Moscow SEZ" all over the world”, pointed out Gennady Degtev, CEO of SEZ Technopolis Moscow. According to Oleg Rudakov, CEO of Profotech the company plans to complete deliveries of equipment to Brazil in August, and in September to start installing. “In the course of joint work, Brazilian specialists will gain real experience in operating digital equipment for the power industry. The project participants will also be engaged in the development of design methods, evaluation of the effectiveness of solutions, metrology and operation of a digital substation. Following the implementation of this project, the parties are considering the possibility of localizing the optical technologies of the Profotech company in Brazil and its participation in the digital modernization of the Brazilian power grid complex”, he added. Research and production company "Profotech" is engaged in the development, manufacturing and implementation of equipment based on its own innovative technologies in the field of photonics. The company's products are digital instrument current transformers and electronic voltage transformers used in the construction of smart energy solutions and energy-intensive industries. Fiber optic transformers carry out high-precision measurements for the purposes of commercial metering, relay protection, automation, and control of power quality indicators. The company is one of the leaders in the Russian and international market in the field of digital measuring systems for building digital substations. ---------------------- Press service of the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" Phone: +7 916 516-15-46 Mail: pr@technomoscow.ru [ mailto:pr@technomoscow.ru ] Subscribe to the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow" in social networks, follow the main news of the SEZ in telegram-channel [ https://t.me/technopolismoscow ] and receive all the most important news delivered to your mail in our weekly newsletter [ http://events.technomoscow.ru/subscribe/?utm_source=site_technomoscow ] .
