The development of the company Mikron intends to automate the work of municipal services for the management of solid municipal waste, it will optimize waste collection and disposal by digitizing these processes”, said Gennady Degtev. Prompt access to information, which the device provides, allows you to quickly respond to various emergency situations noticed Mikhail Gordenko, Head of Advanced Projects of the company. “Our sensor is able not only to monitor the level of container filling and emptying, but also to detect garbage ignition. This device will bring security at the collection points of solid household waste to a qualitatively new level”, he said. The device operates on Nb-IoT (Cat NB1) and GSM (GPRS) communication networks, and also has a built-in Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) for transferring information using a mobile application. “The device is equipped with built-in antennas, two ultrasonic distance sensors for determining the level of container fullness, a temperature sensor, and an accelerometer for detecting an overturn, registering the fact that the container is empty”, clarified Alexey Dolgikh, Manager of Advanced Products Development in Mikron. The device has a spherical shape 130 ? 130 ? 70 mm and can operate autonomously for three years from a built-in battery with a capacity of 14 amperes per hour.
